HOSPITALITY SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE
The Three Trees Restaurant & Café is a dynamic training facility for young people within the Hospitality School of Excellence. The venue is serviced by students specialising in a Certificate III in Hospitality and/or a Certificate II in Kitchen Operations. Students present a fabulous three course menu featuring a range of entrees, mains and desserts. Patrons comment on the 'quality and value for money’, 'excellent food presentation' and ' great atmosphere'. Students also run the local campus café each Friday.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
All food and beverage and kitchen skill training is enhanced for students by training in responsible service of alcohol, a three day Hospitality School live in experience at the Royal Pines Resort and a visit to the Coffee School in Fortitude Valley. These short course programs offer students certificates which support their broader qualifications. Students dine at the Three Trees Restaurant, visit restaurants and hospitality facilities and carry out financial training.
CATERING AND SERVICE EXPERIENCE
The Three Trees Restaurant season ensures broad ranging catering and service experiences whether it be through gala events, special functions such as an ANZAC Day morning tea, hosting a cocktail party for the Lord Mayor or a Melbourne Cup luncheon for the local business community. Historically students working within the Hospitality faculty have been offered employment in a range of establishments and/or gained entry into university and TAFE to continue studies in Hospitality Management.
